Rural Institution for Community Development (RICOD) is working with children, women and youth in the area of basic health, education, disaster management, peace, food security and nutrition since 1994 in Nepal. The organization is seeking self-motivated and qualified candidate for “Improving Mother and Child Nutrition in Rural Village of Lalitpur” in the following position. The project is with the support of Canadian Foodgrains Bank and Mennonite Central Committee Nepal.

 

Job title: Project Coordinator (1 position) Level: 8

Duration: 1 year (with possibility of extension)

Desired Qualification and Experiences: At least Bachelor’s in Public Health with 2 years working experiences (Masters preferred).

 

Major responsibility: The Project Coordinator is responsible for leading the project in a time frame and coordinate with the central, province and local level government, stakeholder, line agencies and funding partners. This position is also responsible for Project planning, reporting and donor management. Additionally program coordination, monitoring and evaluation are the regular task of the position.

 

Location Description:

RICOD’s main office is in Godawari Municipality-11, Chapagaon, Lalitpur, on the south edge of Kathmandu Valley. A project office is established in Gotikhel so the project coordinator has to work through the main office and frequent visit the project area and project areas. Project areas lie in Mahankal and Bagmati Rural Municipality it is the rural part of the district with scattered settlement. There is no scheduled transportation facility from Chapagaon and/or city. Most of the roads are rough and dusty.

 

Required Skills: Two wheeler driving license, Microsoft Office, Excel, SPSS, ENA with Nepali and English typing, good coordination and communication, Proposal writing and report writing skills.
