RICOD has had partnerships with: Terre des Hommes, Mennonite Central Committee, World Vision International, European Commission, European Union, MAMTA health institute for mother and child India, SOLID Nepal, Chemonics Int./USAID, District Development Committee Lalitpur, Merlin Nepal, Canadian Foodgrans Bank, Beyond Beijing Committee, Volunteer Service Overseas and Restless Development.

The organization has been focusing to raise awareness and enhance focus group’s access to basic health services and nutrition, support early childhood development and basic education, empower youth to engage in social transformation that enables them to work for dignified, peaceful families and communities, support focus groups to improve livelihoods through environmentally friendly agriculture and non-agriculture interventions, assist focus groups for disaster risk management, and strengthen the organization’s management and staff to be effective, efficient and relevant to the context.


  • RICOD has implemented "Improving Mother and Child Nutrition Project" from 2013 to 2015 in Five VDCs namely Lele, Chaughare, Nallu, Bhardeu and Dalchoki of Lalitpur district.
  • To ensure the sustainability of project with continuation of acquired knowledge by the local people with the elimination or minimization of the social and cultural barriers, the organization is implementing bridge project for 2016. The bridge project is also aimed to find out the household food security and nutritional status of women and children of new 8 VDCs namely Ashrang, Gimdi, Thuladurlung, Chandanpur, Kaleswor, Gotikhel, Manikhel and Bukhel with the funding support from Canadian Foodgrains Bank and Mennonite Central Committee.


  • RICOD has implemented Earthquake Emergency Response project from May-December 2015. During the period RICOD supported Emergency Food and non food items including tarpaulin, cooking pots, Mattress, Blankets, Rice, dal, oil, salt, hygiene kits and supplementary food to children (super flour and rice) to earthquake affected families in Dalchoki, Nallu, Bhardeu, Chaughare, Thuladurlung, Bhattedanda and Lele. In Ghusel, Devichour and Chaughare 14 TLCs have been constructed. In Dalchoki RICOD supported blankets, mattress, and trousers for children and delivery kits on Dec 2015. The project is supported by Mennonite Central Committee, Restless Development, Individual and Baptist Medical and Dental Mission International (BMDMI).


  • To create a volunteering opportunity for 18-25 years old, RICOD has been implementing International Citizen Service (ICS) project in rural parts of Lalitpur district since February 2015. It gives young people the chance to work side-by-side with local volunteers in developing communities to make a meaningful contribution to fight poverty. The project is supported by U.K. government led by Volunteer Service Overseas (VSO) Nepal. RICOD is currently working in education and livelihood theme under ICS project. Under the livelihood theme, RICOD aims to increase food productivity with improved and more diversified income; increased access to poor and marginalized women over important livelihood resources; and promote sustainable practices (e.g. farming) to enable communities to adapt to climate change. In education sector, RICOD aims to increase access and quality of services and resources; increase accountability of decision makers and power holders through education governance: improving leadership and management skills for school administrations and teaching instructors; increase voice and influence poor and marginalized groups through civil society and community engagement; promote inclusive education and unlocking talents through technology.
