Empowerment

Empowerment includes the awareness and knowledge of one’s situation and the ability to claim rights. It also includes the understanding of constitutional, fundamental rights and obligations of the government, community, family, and individual.

RICOD works to empower communities’ and individuals’ potential as agents of affirmative actions. In addition, it equips rights-holders and duty-bearers with knowledge, skills, and attitudes, in order to increase the opportunities and confidence of rights-holders. RICOD’s approach aims to involve people actively in all aspects of their development.
